Seeker Lover Keeper – album, tour & video(s)

May 16 2011

Exciting Seeker Lover Keeper news was released today. Firstly, our debut album comes out on June 3rd! Second, we have planned a big Australian tour to celebrate! We are going to be visiting many cities and towns around the country in July, finishing up at the Splendour In The Grass festival. For all these shows we will be joined by Jim White on the drums and David Symes on the bass. We also have excellent supports including Tiny Ruins (NZ), Seagull and Toby Martin (Youth Group). Tickets go on sale today, so quick sticks.
We are also very excited to unveil three videos as an introduction to our album. They were directed by Natalie Van Den Dungen and they star three of our favourite actors: Barry Otto, John Waters and Aden Young. I tell you, each one of these videos give me the shivers. You can watch them here.

Just a reminder that The Hello Tigers & I have one last appearance before we go  into hibernation. We will play a short set next Wednesday evening in Sydney at Voices of Art, the annual art-related event for Voiceless – the animal protection institute. For those of you who like art and animals, we recommend you attend. Vegan canapés for all!

An introduction to Seeker Lover Keeper

Apr 14 2011

A little while ago, Sally Seltmann, Sarah Blasko & I decided to start a band, and the band is called Seeker Lover Keeper. Last year we recorded an album in New York City with the amazing Jim White (Dirty Three, Cat Power) on the drums and the wise Shahzad Ismaily (Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, Martha Wainwright) on the bass. We also did some karaoke (sober), ate a lot of vegan chinese food, and went slightly mad in the heatwave. More on the album soon, but in the meantime we are very happy to confirm that we will be playing at this year’s Splendour In The Grass festival. You can follow us on twitter here to recieve updates in un-real time.
